Decline of the Spirit

Buddhism, in successful practice, may be the only philosophy left, as understood by Heidegger. The key here is the puzzling analysis of the decline of the spirit of the west pointed to in Intro to Metaphysics.

The purpose of this pointing out is not to put anyone down or claim a high ground, or even to have a dialogue between West and Eastern philosophers. Rather, it is to consider a possible path made possible by a merging of horizons to allow sufficient spirit, understood as Prana, to raise the awareness of philosophers, understood as phenomenological ontologicsl practitioners.

Buddhism - Phenomenological because dealing with appearances, ontological because determining the ground of appearance.
